IBO Best Practices

Staying True to Your Part of the LOS

September 5, 2023

As an IBO, you have the right to purchase products through Amway at IBO cost, the right to sell products offered by Amway, and the right to sponsor others to become IBOs.

Sponsoring new IBOs is important to the growth of your business, and all IBOs must remember to honor and help preserve the Line of Sponsorship.

The Rules of Conduct state that “under no circumstances shall an IBO, directly or indirectly, solicit, assist, attempt to induce, or encourage another IBO to request a change position in the Line of Sponsorship.” (Rule 4.17 Enticement to Change Position in the Line of Sponsorship).

       • When you encounter IBOs at different places in the Line of Sponsorship, it is best to wish them well in their business endeavors to build their businesses, without trying to convince them how much better your group would be for them.

              - In some cases, another IBO may approach you about changing sponsors or positions in the Line of Sponsorship to join your group. In these situations, it is best to take the information upline to be sure it is handled appropriately.

Remember that protecting the Line of Sponsorship is essential for all IBOs – it protects others and it protects you. This allows all IBOs to focus on building and growing their Amway businesses in a confident and sustainable way.

This Best Practices Message gives you a few highlights or reminders – but can’t cover everything you need to remember, so you may want to review the appropriate Rules of Conduct for the further and complete information.

Please reach out to the IBOAI and/or Amway Business Conduct and Rules if you have any questions. Also, be sure to check out previous Best Practices Messages.
