Arrival at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan on October 7 was incredibly exciting for New Platinums attending their first official Amway-sponsored IBO event. Having recently achieved their first major milestone in the Business, New Platinums are eager to learn more about building a strong and sustainable business and tour Amway Corporation in Ada. Upon arrival, the Platinums were invited to tour the IBOAI® offices.
Throughout the afternoon, a steady stream of visiting Platinums were greeted by IBOAI staff who walked them through the IBOAI offices, explaining the origin, purpose, and structure of the Association – and how the Association’s Board and its Committees work diligently for the benefit of all IBOs.
New Platinums were delighted to meet Howie Danzik, longtime IBOAI Board member and Officer, who flew in to meet the emerging Leaders. Howie is a pro when it comes to communication and collaboration. As Howie spoke with Platinums, he explained how the Board Committees work collaboratively in the best interest of all IBOs. Amway Corporate staff are also represented at IBOAI Committee meetings to ensure, as Howie says, “We are all working together for the new IBO, for emerging Leaders, and for the future of this Business.”
David and Maria Najera of Nashville, Tennessee, met when David introduced Maria to the Business. They were married six months later; partners in life and in business. A part of IBOAI Board Executive Committee member, Juanita Maldonado’s team, David and Maria said they now better understand her commitment to serving on the Board and the importance of it. David and Maria agree, Juanita and the entire team “feel like family.” Maria loves the Artistry™ skin care and Nutrilite™ supplements – and enjoys introducing them to others.
While hearing from the IBOAI staff about how the IBOAI Board is structured and how they work with the Corporation, Arsenio Machado and Leiden Lopez Coronado from Miami, Florida were convinced the IBOAI Board consistently works hard for the benefit of all IBOs.
An energetic and enthusiastic group of New Platinums representing LTD visited the IBOAI offices together. As they entered the large AWA Boardroom, Howie Danzik invited them to relax and have a seat around the table. An impromptu Q&A quickly ensued. The Platinums’ questions were thoughtful; Howie’s responses were insightful. The audience was captivated by Howie’s experiences, outlook, and advice: “Be a role model.” “Treat people with kindness and respect.” “Never lose your grateful heart.” “Show value of this Business to new IBOs and keep them around.”
Following the tour, Danny Espiritu of Chicago, Illinois remarked that the IBOAI offices have a classy, elegant ambience. Stephen and Cassi Henry of Anderson, S.C. revealed that although they hear about the IBOAI from their upline, Joe and Marybeth Markiewicz, to actually see the IBOAI offices in person had always been a dream of theirs. Stephen added, “Achieving Platinum is motivation to continue building our business.
