The Association recognizes the achievements of its members with many different awards, but none is more prestigious than being named to the Presidents Cabinet. To date, fewer than two dozen Independent Business Owners have received this honor.

To qualify, a member must meet a stringent set of criteria that requires both extensive experience and a high level of success:

• A minimum of 25 years operating their own business.
• A level of Executive Diamond or higher.
• At least one term as President/Chairman of the Independent Business Owners Association International (IBOA International) Board.

Once a member meets the requirements, they become eligible for nomination by the members of the IBOA International Executive Committee. During their review, the Executive Committee considers the overall contributions of each eligible member. A unanimous vote for inclusion in the Presidents Cabinet is required.
