Avoid Cross-Group Solicitation

Of the many Rules of Conduct, one of the most serious is that against cross-group solicitation. The Best Practice for IBOs is to honor the lines of sponsorship, and here’s how it applies to existing IBOs.

With hundreds of thousands of IBOs across North America, you’re sure to run into other IBOs, including IBOs from other lines of sponsorship. It would be

tempting to compare group practices and successes. Even so, you should be mindful of the Rules prohibiting the solicitation, interference, or attempt to suggest – even indirectly – that another IBO switch to another sponsor or line of sponsorship, such as your own.

4.15. Enticement to Change Lines of Sponsorship: Under no circumstances shall an IBO solicit, interfere, or attempt to induce, suggest, directly or indirectly, another IBO to request a change to another Sponsor or Line of Sponsorship.

Given any appearance of someone breaking this rule, an upline may take the issue to the Rules Department at Amway Global. To avoid that conflict, it would be best to wish other IBOs well in the line of sponsorship that they are in and not try to convince them how much better another group would be.

Conversely, if someone should solicit you to let them join your group, you should take that information upline and make sure that it’s handled appropriately.

Remember that protecting the lines of sponsorship works both ways – it protects others and it protects you.
