Quixtar Inc. to
Brighten Christmas for Needy Families
IBOA International recommends...
West Michigan is
blanketed by a thick covering of snow, likely ensuring a “White
Christmas” for area families. But a white Christmas doesn’t guarantee a
happy Christmas. Many families will endure the holiday without presents,
without a special meal, without even a Christmas tree to put presents
beneath. Except for those families fortunate enough to receive a present
through programs like
Quixtar’s One by One Campaign for Children.
This Tuesday,
December 20, Quixtar Inc.’s Managing Director Jim Payne will donate $2.2
million in gifts to NBC-TV’s Today Show Toy Drive. The gifts are
being shipped to 15 nonprofit organizations across the country for
delivery to disadvantaged children – perhaps the only gift the kids will
receive this holiday season.
Aimed at young
teens,
Quixtar's donation includes:
-
CD/mp3 players
-
Mogu dolls
-
Watches
-
ARTISTRY®
cosmetics
Can you give to a needy child near you?
This is a good time to recognize the millions of dollars
and thousands of hours IBOs across North America donate
to good causes. It’s also a time to suggest that if you
haven’t found a giving program dear to your heart or
haven’t yet found the time to donate some of your time
or money, why not pick up a toy or game or other special
item and give to someone less fortunate for Christmas,
Hanukah, Kwanza, or other holidays of the season. There
may still be time to donate through giving programs like
Toys for Tots, a yearly
campaign by the United States Marines and many corporate
sponsors like Alticor,
Quixtar Inc’s parent company.
