With great determination, Dick operated his business at night while continuing
to work as a police officer during the day. He was so successful that, 18
months later, he retired from the police force to concentrate full-time on
his business. Soon he reached the Diamond level, then Crown. Six years later,
he achieved the level of Crown Ambassador.
The
business that started out of necessity not only supported his family over
the years, but also eventually created complete financial freedom.
"There are so many things this business offers" he says. "It
has given me the opportunity to live where I want to live, to drive whatever
cars I choose, to educate my children at the schools they desire, and the
ability to travel to any country I choose."
Dick has been a member of the
Independent
Business Owners Association International (IBOA International) since launching his business
and, for nearly a decade, served as a representative on various
IBOA
International committees. He was President of the Board in
1981-82.
