 IBOAI is a proud supporter of the
U.S. Dream Academy, now celebrating the 10 year
anniversary of its founding by its CEO and president Rev.
Wintley Phipps.
The
U.S. Dream Academy mentors disadvantaged children and
children with imprisoned parents; their motto is “A child
with a dream…is a child with a future.” It is headquartered
in the Washington,
D.C. area and has centers in nine
U.S.
cities plus mentoring programs in 50 others. The Academy
draws significant corporate support, including
Quixtar Inc., which became a national sponsor in 2005
(frequently covered in Quixtar’s
One by One blog).
IBOAI sponsors a table every year at the annual Power of a
Dream Gala, support it will continue during the May 21, 2008, event when
Alticor Executive Vice President Jim Payne will receive
the distinguished President’s Award. Other special guests
will include actor Chris Tucker and American gospel music
duo Bebe and Cece Winans.
