The IBOAI Board just wrapped up another Board Meeting, during its 50^th year of representing IBOs as their official advocacy organization. It was a week full of discussion, action and the development of many recommendations from the IBOAI to Amway Global, all designed to bring positive change and continued growth to the business.

Committee Accomplishments
The 44 recommendations and actions by the IBOAI Committees during the October meeting included Awards & Recognition’s proposal to organize a Growth Programs Task Force, Business Operation’s suggestions on packaging, shipping, Web 2.0, promotional DVDs, social media, and samples, plus Legal & Ethics’ suggested Rules revisions on advertising, displays, and definitions. MAC spent many hours with Amway Global staff on recommendations for several new product bundles and marketing pieces. The IBOAI previewed the new Social Media Resource Center for IBOs, to be launched soon, (watch iboai.com for this new section), plus introduced its new Facebook page and YouTube channel.

In addition, plans were created for the Executive Committee’s involvement in training and education during the upcoming Achievers event. The Board encourages all Achievers Award recipients to stop by the IBOAI booth during the various expo opportunities. IBOs not attending Achievers ’09 are invited to follow us on Twitter, where we will tweet live from events.

Election Results
The Board also announced results of the 2010 IBOAI Election during the October Board Meeting:

• New Board Members beginning a 3 year term January 1, 2010 are: Alberto Aguilera, Brad Duncan, Kanti Gala,

Leif Johnson, and Doug Weir

• New Board Officers beginning their term January 1, 2010 are Steve Woods, Chairman, and

Brad Duncan, Vice Chairman

• New MAC Members beginning their term January 1, 2010 are Lata Gala and Susan Bundy

• New MAC Officers beginning their term January 1, 2010 are Kathy Victor, Chairman, and

Patsy Lizardi, Vice Chairman
