Following up on the success of last fall’s Diamond Meeting in Dallas, Amway Global held a second Diamond Meeting in Grand Rapids recently at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. Leaders from across North America were introduced to improvements and changes in the business with the help of several IBOAI Board Members, including former Chairman Jim Janz, who emceed the Wednesday afternoon meeting.

IBOAI speakers included:

• Chairman Bob Andrews, who spoke about partnership, goals, and

making sure that Amway Global remains a business that anyone can grow.

• Awards & Recognition Committee Chairman Joe Markiewicz, who

reviewed the success of the Fast Track program he helped design, new recognition pieces in the Achieve, and a special promotion on our “heroes.”

• Awards & Recognition Committee Vice Chairman Jim Dornan, who

shared the value of the IBOAI over the years and said, “Long term strategies allow us to plan for success. Amway Global has partnered with IBO leadership and invested in the right strategies, tools, and programs for growth in North America.”

• Governance & Oversight Committee Member Jody Victor, who shared

extensive information on details of the new three-year Growth Incentive Program, and stressed that the program is “designed for

North America and it rewards you for building a business in North America.”

Corporate presenters included:

• Amway Global Chairman Steve Van Andel and President Doug DeVos, who emphasized that just as in the past

50 years, their partnership with the IBOAI and all IBOs is very strong. Both Doug and Steve thanked the Diamonds for all they have done over the years to grow our business opportunity.

• VP of Sales Sandy Spielmaker, who reminded the audience that “Your dreams and your leadership are what

brought us here today.”

• VP of Marketing Jori Hartwig, who reviewed Corporate efforts on search engine optimization, marking new

ground in promoting professional soccer, and new exciting products.

• Director of Trade Development Cindy Seehase, who reviewed upcoming retail websites, new Ribbon Books, and

Legacy of Clean.

• Marketing Consultant Tom Hall, who previewed DVD videos on several of our top products that will be available

immediately. Tom thanked the IBOAI’s Marketing Advisory Committee and the Business Operations Committee for their contributions in making this project a success.

The two day meetings were jam packed with information and multiple Q & A sessions. We all look forward to watching as the projects, initiatives, and opportunities begin to unfold.
